Fifteen years ago, Elemental Energy began with a simple mission: to change the way our communities think about and use energy. What started in Portland in 2010 has grown into a locally owned and operated solar company serving homes and businesses across Oregon and Washington. Along the way, we have also worked with partners around the world to help bring clean power to communities in need.

Today, we are proud to celebrate 15 years of solar leadership built on trust, craftsmanship, and connection. Every installation, from neighborhood homes to commercial and community projects across the region, reflects our belief that clean energy should be accessible, reliable, and built to last.

Elemental Energy was founded by graduates of the nation’s first accredited Bachelor of Science program in Renewable Energy Engineering. From the very beginning, our team has combined technical expertise with a passion for making a positive impact.

Over the past 15 years, we have completed more than 3,000 installations and grown to a team of 55 dedicated employees. Each project, whether residential, commercial, or mobile, is completed by our in-house professionals. Every customer works directly with Elemental Energy staff from consultation through installation and long-term service.

Our commitment also extends beyond the Pacific Northwest. Through our work with Twende Solar and other nonprofit partners, we have helped bring renewable energy to communities in Central and South America, Africa, and Asia. This ongoing collaboration reminds us that clean energy is not just a regional goal; it is a global opportunity.

Elemental Energy has become a trusted partner for solar design, energy storage, and electrical services. We have helped families gain energy independence and supported local businesses in meeting their sustainability goals.

Our projects include roof and ground-mounted solar arrays, battery backup systems, Tesla Powerwall installations, and custom commercial designs. Regardless of project size, our focus remains the same: thoughtful design, skilled installation, and long-term value.

Our Solar Service Department continues to play an important role, providing support for new and existing systems. Whether a customer needs maintenance, diagnostics, or an equipment upgrade, our service team ensures that the benefits of solar continue year after year.
