Job Summary

Overview

The Commercial Solar Sales Consultant will develop and manage solar project proposals with commercial customers. Develop proposals for commercial projects that lead to successful project outcome for all stakeholders. Achieve or exceed strategic goals on a regular basis. Develop and present conceptual array layouts for rooftop, carport and ground-mounted projects in coordination with Elemental Energy's development team.

This position offers a competitive base salary and commission schedule based commensurate with experience and education. Benefits are competitive.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • work strategically; craft a development plan, maintain an active business pipeline, engage regularly with sales prospects and customer lead
  • conduct financial analysis on the customer’s energy usage and demonstrate the value of solar
  • be able to present the short and long-term financial returns and environmental impact of solar
  • maintain knowledge on financing options for solar, understand the cost benefit analysis and present well on the return on investment (ROI)
  • log all customer communications in CRM contact database‬ with a keen attention to detail, drive satisfaction and future referrals through prompt follow through and friendly customer service
  • maintain knowledge of current status of commercial rebates and incentives at the state (OR) and federal level represent Elemental Energy as an ambassador to our vision, driving increased solar awareness‬
  • adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes

Skills and Education

  • 2+ years experience in residential or commercial solar sales preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • valid driver's license
  • knowledge of solar energy and/or solar industry experience
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to understand finance models and select various types of finance packages based on the client's needs
  • display strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • show a consultative based approach to selling the value of solar
  • set referral and self-generated appointments
